Labor Day Weekend at Gooseberry Falls
The Fullers didn't do the Fair this year but did finish the summer in style, camping with a wonderful group of friends on the North Shore (of Lake Superior, for those not versed in Minnesotan). This trip was several degrees more enjoyable (both Fahrenheit and otherwise) than the Memorial Day version earlier this year which we couldn't even bring ourselves to blog about. Alicia is a little older and more easy-going, Toby is a little older and more self-sufficient, and the mix of families was somehow more ideal. There were more younger children instead of Toby and Alicia being two of the three youngest, and personalites meshed in a rare and relaxingly seamless way. It turns out camping with two wee ones can be done, and even enjoyed. We can't wait for next year.
Toby and Isabella engage in one of their quiet conversations...

...then contemplate the nutritionary possibilities beneath the snack table.

Steve Schirber relaxes with his manly version of whittling, while Lydia and Ben have fun with a wheelbarrow and an anonymous mom gets caught in an unfortunate, though not unflattering, moment (for the publication of which I deeply apologize).

Toby's turn in the wheelbarrow.

Alicia melts another heart.
