It's In the Mail

It's kinda hard for me to even believe, but it's done. Michelle's application for Canadian permanent residency is all ready to go. It's in an envelope, nearly an inch thick, addressed and sealed and waiting for a trip to the post office. Inside are about twelve forms, filled out and signed, copies of both our passports, birth certificates, our marriage certificate, and originals of Michelle's medical examination results, background checks, our last tax return and recent paystubs, photos of our wedding, reception, and the eight years since then, and a handful of other odds and ends, and a receipt that proves I just paid the fee. Guess. Nope, higher.

Working on this was one of the reasons I wasn't blogging as much, so stay tuned to see if I'm back. For now, as my reward, the season premiere of Lost begins in eight minutes, and tomorrow morning the Oscar nominations are announced. How sweet it is.

You seriously had to send pics chronicling your life together?

Yes. I also sent some of the letters we wrote to each other when we were long distance, a copy of our most recent Christmas letter, and the link to this blog.

Hey Josh and Michelle...
Just wanted to let you know that we met your landlords at church a few weeks ago! Dan relayed how they learned of the connection. Pretty small world! Congrats on finishing the paperwork!
