Sorry it took us all day.
Surgery is finished. All that's left is the bandage on a fussy girl.
Surgery was at 7:30am. Josh came with me, which gave me great comfort. He left as soon as Alicia was out of surgery and was at work by 8:35. Alicia and I were in the car on the way home by 10am.
Dr. Sidman placed the tubes. He said there was a little fluid in both ears. It's good that we've got that done. Hopefully we'll have a much more peaceful winter now.
He took out the hemangioma (lump) on Alicia's right collarbone, not the one on her head. The head one was just too small. He said it came out easily, with no bleeding issues. He said that he was glad he took it out and is interested in seeing what it is. He does take out hemangiomas from time to time and maintains that Alicia's don't quite look like the norm. Whatever they turn out to be, he doesn't expect it to be bad news. We'll hopefully know a tentative verdict on Tuesday and will let you know then. It sounds like there will also be further testing of the lump as well, that might take a few weeks.
So that's news.

We're so glad to get the news that the procedure went as planned. We hope that Alicia will be more comfortable by tomorrow and send our love to all.
