What We Did For Valentine's Day

On Wednesday we moved Toby's bed back into his room...with Alicia's crib still there. That evening we got ready for bed, looked at each other, and realized we had our room all to ourselves. It was the first time in years. Oh, the possibilities...we could speak in normal voices, have a light on, read if we wanted to, or...

Anyway, it's been three nights with the kids sleeping in the same room, and they're doing great. It's not uncommon for Alicia to sleep seven or eight hours without waking now...night and day from two weeks ago, if you'll pardon the pun.

Upcoming Travel

I'm pretty much just an NBA fan, but apparently in baseball if a team and a player can't agree on the exact number of millions of dollars the former should reimburse the latter for hitting a small ball three out of ten times he's given the opportunity, they take it to court. So on Thursday, representatives of the Minnesota Twins flew to Phoenix, Arizona because outfielder Michael Cuddyer wanted four million dollars for next season, not the three that the organization was offering.

So they're sitting outside the courtroom, about to go in and ask a judge to figure this out for them, when suddenly one side says to the other, "Say, how about three and a half?" And the other guy goes, "Okay."

I'm not sure if such was the exact exchange, but the fact remains that there is something about the air in Phoenix, probably not unrelated to the degrees Fahrenheit numbering in the double digits, which gives people a more mellow, relaxed approach to life's difficulties, eg. subsisting on less than four million dollars for a whole year. So you can imagine why we're so looking forward to spending next weekend there.

Recent Statements From Toby

"Mama, your hair looks like a water buffalo!"

"Dada, your shoes are turning into boots."

"Dada, I'm driving betowards Alicia!"

After asking Dada a question to which Mama responded: "Mama, is your name Dada? I don't think so."

I like the quotes at the top of the screen but can you slow them down a little?
