To take a trip

Our gang flew up to Vancouver for a week's vacation. The centerpiece of the trip was the wedding of my cousin and buddy Travis, who broke The Code by landing his best friend's sister. It turns out that if you marry her, you can be forgiven, as the brother of the bride also served as Trav's best man and gave a moving speech in honour of the couple.

The wedding was first class all the way, with no expenses spared. The outdoor service was short and sweet, the food excellent, the open bar free, the desserts exquisite. The bride was stunning, the speeches were long and embarrassing, and the DJ was shameless (follow up the parents' dance with House of Pain?).

And just to keep you up to date on other news, Alicia will have surgery early in the morning on Friday. One of her subcutaneous hemangiomas will be removed, and she will have tubes put in her ears. Both short, simple procedures, so we should be able to let you know how she is later in the day. Thanks for your prayers.
