Floored

I don't know if new carpet is exciting enough to merit a blog post, but our kids think it's cool. I took these photos so they could see what the house looked like while they were staying at Granny's to avoid breathing toxic chemicals. Dad has been in bars prior to October 2007 and also doesn't have chronic lung disease, so it's not as much of a concern for him.

Most of the upstairs furniture was piled into the living room for the occasion.


Dad's computer got set up on the kitchen table...


Everything else went into the garage.


Once the new carpet was laid, we made sure to capture the rooms in their pristine condition before everything went back in place.




After a few windows-open days to let the smell disperse, everybody's back in house and enjoying the lack of ugliness beneath their feet.
